Arrangements were quickly made for an astronomy night on the 29th January. You may have read about it in the paper. Although it was a cloudy evening it was very enjoyable. Five presentations were given and there were demonstrations on how to use a telescope. 150 people attended and we are pleased to say it will be a yearly event.
The WW2 group are still steadily raising funds but sometimes thinking up new ideas is quite hard, there are a few ideas floating around but we wondered if you could help? Do you know of anywhere or anyone who might be willing to help in some way? A company maybe who have an annual charity event and are wondering which charity to choose in 2012. Well please consider us. We would be very grateful.
A new planting scheme has been drawn up for our bed in the community garden. Why not visit us on a fine Wednesday morning, just come for a natter, we wont rope you in. It has been a big struggle getting the park to look how it used to, but this year we think it will be done.
