History of Clifton Park

Clifton Park was originally laid out as the private grounds of Clifton House in 1783, and opened as a public park in 1891.

Clifton Park was restored and upgraded thanks to generous funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund between 2008 and 2010.
